Exfoliation is a treatment that can be done even at home with common ingredients. It is advisable to scrub the skin once a week in the face and every fifteen days in the body. Eliminating dead cells stimulates the body's natural renewal, preventing ingrown hairs, blackheads, acne and excessive oiliness. Thus, the exfoliated skin is more clean, hydrated and soft.
Scrub the face
When wash the face several times a day, we have the impression that our skin is not totally clean. With a good homemade scrub, we can relieve this unpleasant feeling. First wash your face, neck and neck with soap suitable for your skin type, then apply the scrub on the face.
There are several types of homemade recipes for exfoliating the face to every skin type. Check out some recipes.
Scrub for oily skin
- 1 spoon (soup) of sugar crystal
- 1 spoon (soup) of honey
Mix the ingredients and movements go lightly exfoliating the face to not hurt the skin. Then massage your face for three minutes. Rinse with water and to finish, pass an astringent lotion to close pores.
Scrub for dry skin
- 1 spoon (soup) of oatmeal
- 1 spoon (soup) of honey
Mix ingredients and apply on face with circular movements, exfoliate the skin for up to three minutes. Rinse the face and then pass a facial tonic to close the pores and moisturize the skin.
Scrub for all skin types
- Half papaya
- 1 spoon (soup) of sugar crystal
Mash the papaya and mix with sugar. With light, circular movements, go exfoliating the skin for three minutes. Rinse the face and then apply a facial tonic or astringent lotion.
Scrub for Sensitive Skin
- 2 spoons (soup) of oatmeal
- 2 spoons (soup) of honey
Mix the ingredients and using a circular motion, move the face. Then rinse with water. This mixture is smooth and therefore is recommended for sensitive skin, because the oats helps to nourish the skin.
Exfoliation for the body
A good body scrub our skin protects against stains that appear through the dry and also helps to activate blood circulation, preventing aging and sagging skin. Thus, the skin is clean and moisturized. To apply the homemade body scrub, it is advisable to take a shower with warm water. With the wet skin, apply the homemade mixture.
Exfoliating body with sugar
- 5 tablespoons (soup) of sugar
- 5 tablespoons (packed) almond oil
Mix the two ingredients and with your fingertips, gently apply all over the body with circular movements. Rinse well and finish with dry skin pass a moisturizer specifically for your skin type.
